During the meeting:

  • Members contribute two or more business referrals for other members,
  • Members and guests deliver two 30-second "commercials" outlining the types of referrals they seek,
  • Two members each week give 10-minute presentations describing their businesses in greater detail.

JulieWIN limits its membership to one representative from each occupational category. All potential members are considered by a WIN membership committee.

What is expected of members?

  • Listen carefully for opportunities to provide referrals. Members of WIN are always courteous during meetings; listen carefully to the needs of other members and concentrate on locating business referrals at the earliest opportunity. 
  • Commit to attend all meetings. We appreciate each member's commitment to attend every meeting possible, permitting no more than 15 absences during any 12 month period. During the initial 12 week probationary period the member is allowed no more than 3 absences. After the probationary period is up, if necessary a member may take a leave of absence for up to 90 days. A request must be submitted in writing to the Membership Committee. Dues must be maintained during this time to reserve your category in the group. 
  • Participate in WIN events and committee meetings. Each new member will be assigned to a committee, and is expected to actively participate in the meetings of that committee.
  • Patience. As a new member, you must remember to be patient! It takes time to develop a relationship conducive to receiving referrals from the group. To assist you in developing credibility with group members, always request feedback on how to improve the effectiveness of your commercials and presentations.

Membership Dues: Our membership dues are $400 per year. Dues are collected in January and July ($200.00 per term). This includes membership, plus the cost of breakfast, and facility rental. Members can pay by cash, check, or credit card. 

Applying for Membership: An application fee of $100.00 must accompany an application for consideration by the membership committee. Guests may visit twice before making a decision to apply for membership after which time we ask that you wait to hear from the membership committee regarding your application.

Guest breakfasts: Guests receive a complimentary breakfast on their first visit. On the second visit, a fee of $10.00 will be collected for breakfast. Breakfast fees cover the cost of food as well as renting our meeting facility.
